Churches across the state are seeing firsthand the benefit of having a district-based extension fund in the Michigan District. Church Extension Fund encourages best practices across the ministry landscape. One such best practice is to offer an electronic giving option to their parishoners. Each congregation's needs are a little different, and CEF wanted to be reward each congregation for offering this valuable tool in their unique minstry context. 

The Excel In Giving benefit offers $250 to a congregation to help offset the cost of offering such a service. It's a simple process - an annual application is available on CEF's website from July through October. Once submitted and approved, a check is mailed to the congregation! This year, CEF received more applications than in any year previous of offering this program.
