Investment Questions

What Is Church Extension Fund?

Church Extension Fund (CEF) is a ministry that specializes in helping people reach their finanical goals that have a connection to the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod. Through numerous fixed income products, investors provide the funds that CEF uses to lend to Lutheran congregations, schools, and other ministries. The ministries build, grow, and pay back their loans. CEF then pays the investor a great rate of return for letting their money be used to help Build the Kingdom.

Who Can Invest At CEF?

The offer and sale of notes is restricted to a "Limited Class Of Investors" and the states where CEF is authorized to do so. Please refer to our current Offering Circular to determine eligibility. Basically, if you are a Lutheran in Michigan, or have a connection to the Lutheran church (e.g. went to Lutheran grade school, parents are/were Lutheran) you may qualify.

What Are The Benefits Of Investing At CEF?

Think of each investment as a piece of building material, a brick, a window, a cornerstone, in a new or remodeled Lutheran church, school, or other ministry in Michigan. Your investments help provide the capital CEF needs to make the loans to build ministries across the Michigan District. Not only that, you receive a great rate of return, and you can feel good about how your money is being used. It's a win-win!

Can I Apply For An Investment Online?

Yes, but only if you are a current investor. First time investors must submit the application via email, mail, fax, or in office, along with your investment funds. These funds can be sent in the form of a check, ACH, or wire.

What If I Don't Have Much Money To Invest?

We offer notes with low minimum funding amounts! Our Dedicated Savings Certificates start at just $5! You, too, can be a part of our ministry!
