Institutional GRANTS
Church Extension Fund has been blessed with positive financial results over the 125 year history of the fund. As a way to support ministries in the Michigan District LCMS, grants are occassionally made available to share our financial blessings and to respond to the needs of these churches, schools, and registered service organizations.

Celebrate 125 years of ministry! CEF is awarding $1,250 Outreach Grants to help your church hold an event that intoduces your neighbors to Jesus.
Grant Period: June 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027
Applications will be available June 1st.
Your new investment at CEF earns your church a $125 Bonus Grant - because when you invest at CEF, you're not just helping your church, you're connecting your ministry to our mission!
New Notes of $1,000 or more. 24-60 month term. One bonus grant per investor household.

In 2024, CEF partnered with the Michigan District to provide funds for a Circuit Convocation. These convocations demonstrated that we are people of hope, vigorously sharing the love of Christ. These Convocations had a tangible impact not only on the churches in the circuit but also on their community.
Every circuit was eligible for a $5,000 grant. In total, CEF granted close to $200,000!
