We are pleased with the recent announcement by the CUWAA Board of Regents that “Concordia University Ann Arbor will continue its momentum forward for the 2024-2025 academic year and prayerfully beyond.” Academics and co-curriculars, including athletics, will continue for the 2024-2025 year. A subcommittee is being formed to review CUAA’s path forward, including the possibility that CUAA returns to being a self-governing university. This news is quite different from earlier statements. God is good indeed and has blessed CUAA and CEF richly!
Much work remains to be done, but we are confident God is leading and that the determined supporters of CUAA are encouraged by the hope that this announcement brings. CEF would like to extend a special thanks to Michigan District President David Davis for his dogged determination to keep Christ first in everything during the tumultuous past weeks. And thank you to those who pledged funds to the District’s fund drive. That work continues and opportunities for financial help remain ongoing.
CUAA matters in this time and place in the world! The gospel outreach that occurs daily at CUAA cannot be overlooked. Please continue to keep CUAA and those working on the long-term plans in your prayers. Know that CEF stands with the Michigan District and CUAA in efforts toward autonomous governance and CEF will do what we can to help with that effort.
