In early July, Andy Sohn completed his fourth year at Church Extension Fund. Hired in 2018 as Vice President - Marketing & Relations, Sohn has taken on many substantial projects in his time at CEF including redesigning the CEF logo and brand identity, navigating COVID communications with CEF borrowers and investors, and celebrating the 120th anniversary of CEF’s ministry with a historical timeline installation at CEF offices and a Fall Conference celebration of this milestone.
Throughout his time at CEF, Andy has shown a great competency for strategic thinking and willingness to think outside the box. According to CEO Jim Saalfeld “Andy has been a trusted and valuable member of CEF’s Executive Management team. Each year in my performance reviews of Andy, I have noted his demonstrated ability as an innovative and strategic thinker. As a leader, I want to put our team members in the positions that allow them to best use the gifts God has given them to further CEF’s mission to be trusted ministry partners in helping to Build God’s Kingdom.”
Andy will be taking on additional responsibilities by planning and implementing strategic initiatives across all levels of CEF’s core and non-core business operations. CEF, first and foremost, is a ministry. This new role for Sohn will help ensure that the mission of CEF can continue throughout the years even in a changing ministry landscape. Andy will also have an updated title to reflect his new responsibilities: Vice President - Strategy & Marketing. In addition to CEF’s marketing functions, Andy will continue overseeing CEF’s “Relations” focus, which has proven imperative to CEF’s past successes and will remain essential in its future endeavors.
